This Tiger beetle was located along Cranberry dike road in June 2007. It took me a while to settle this one down enough to start taking photos.
One of the darker brown beetles, the Big Sand Tiger beetle is one of the larger Tiger Beetles in Wisconsin.

This is a dry habitat species and is found anywhere sands are exposed in Crex Meadows.
